My Counselling

Taking That First Step

I understand that reaching out for counselling can feel daunting. That's why I offer an initial conversation where we can talk about what brings you here and how I might support you. This is your time to ask questions and get a sense of how we might work together—no pressure, just a chance to explore whether counselling feels right for you.

How I Work

I believe that everyone deserves a space where they can be their true self—where every part of them is welcomed and accepted. As an integrative counsellor, I draw from different therapeutic approaches to create a way of working that's uniquely tailored to you. You are at the core of this process, and together we'll find what works best for your individual needs.

Think of our work together as exploring different points along your personal timeline:

Present - Through person-centred counselling, we focus on where you are right now. I really listen, helping you explore your current experiences and feelings in a space where you feel truly heard and accepted.

Past - Using psychodynamic approaches, we can gently look back to understand how your past experiences might influence your present. This isn't about dwelling in the past, but rather understanding how it shapes your current path.

Future - With CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) techniques, we look forward, developing practical ways to move towards where you want to be. This might include exploring new perspectives and finding different ways to respond to life's challenges.

Areas We Can Explore Together

Life presents us with many challenges, and I'm here to support you through whatever you're facing. Through my experience, I've supported people through anxiety, depression, and various forms of addiction. I've supported those dealing with trauma, loss, and relationship difficulties. I also bring extensive experience in supporting those affected by domestic abuse, and working with neurodiverse clients.

Whatever you're struggling with—whether it's something I've mentioned or not—please reach out for an initial conversation. Together we can explore whether I'm the right person to support you on your journey.

Your Pace, Your Journey

Whether you're looking for short-term support with a specific issue or longer-term exploration, we'll work at a pace that feels right for you. There's no rush—I believe in creating a safe, confidential environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings in your own time.

Remember, taking that first step is often the hardest part.
